The Merrell Refuge Pro GORE-TEX is designed to provide the utmost in stability, versatility and shock absorption. Merrell's new Split heel technology enhances pronation control to keep you stable at all times no matter how rocky the path. This is achieved through diagonally joining dual density EVA underneath heal to form a smooth, impact absorbing shock pod that discourages overpronation. The denser interior EVA wedge offers greater stability and rigidity for excessive medial movement and deflects force to the softer EVA in the lateral region of the shock pod, optimising pronation and alignment. The Bellows tongue keeps debris out whilst GORE-TEX Performance Comfort Footwear lining protects the feet from the elements. Abrasion resistant toe adds durability to the upper with an Ortholite anatomical footbed providing comfort. Midsole features a moulded nylon arch shank with compression moulded EVA footframe for extra cushioning. Merrel air cushion in the heel absorbs shock and adds stability. 5mm Sole lug depth with Vibram Spindrift sole.
