Design

The upper of the Nike Free TR Twist uses heathered textile that looks similar to fabric used in clothing. This seam-free, lightweight fabric helps keep air flowing for breathability and comfort. Ruching at the collar softly grips the ankle to help keep it in place for a secure fit.

Cushioning

To get the feel of natural motion without sacrificing cushioning, the Nike Free TR Twist uses ultra-lightweight Phylite. Phylite is a resilient, springy foam that's soft enough to offer plush cushioning and durable enough to act as the outsole of the shoe. Because Phylite does twice the work, the overall weight of the shoe is super light.

Flexibility

The foot is made up of several complex muscle groups that move in multiple directions. To mimic this movement, the Nike Free TR Twist has deep flex grooves that run along the length and width of the shoe. Diagonal lines throughout the midfoot provide extra range of motion, so the foot is free to move in any direction while offering stability for a secure, comfortable fit.
